An Apple a Day

Well, maybe not an apple but at least a post. I have made a pre-New Years Resolution. That is to make at least one thng a day, and to eat less. So far so good. I have lost 3 pounds and have made three projects. So here is todays. These are scrapbook pages I am going to make at my scrap class on the 9th. I charge $20 for 4 pages (2-2 page spreads)

The inks and colors are all SU! The stamp set is Autumn picking by ACWP. Have a healthy day!

Playin' Prehistoric Style

I DID NOT get to go to Glen Ivy today- so I sat home and babysat and made cards. Well, I guess my life is not so bad- I made cards and went swimming at home. I played volleyball and keep it up with Ryan, my baby boy swims with just floaties (he is 16 months), and Sophie was a little fish. Emily really wasn't digging the water today (tired.)

Any who, I had to make my male themed birthday cards for my swap I was hosting- so I did. I made the first 6 and didn't like them, so I made another six, and they came out much better (the ones on the left.)

I used all SU! colrs and cardstock, besides the yellow printed paper. I used a cuttlebug for embossing and Prehistoric Pals stamp set (the palm trees kinda reminded me of Glen Ivy.)

First Day Blues

Well, it was inevitable. She had to leave me. Our time is over. 3rd grade here she comes. So here I sit all broken hearted- missing her like crazy. She is my air, my sun, my warmth, my life!

She is growing so fast, and there is nothing I can do about it. I barely got a kiss goodbye. She found her friends and away she went- the tears filled my eyes and I returned home. I know build a bridge - get over it, but I think there are very few moms that love thier babies like I love mine- so only those moms will understand. So give me your shoulder and let me cry, I'll be ok.

Here is a pic of my princess- Savannah heading off to school with our neighbor Grant. Then her and one of her BF's, Jalyn. Her shoes (I always take a pic of them- I love shoes!) And finally, an ADORABLE little backpack my friend Sharon made for her. Gotta love the BIG Shot and Summer Picnic DSP! Thanks for everything Sharon- Love you- H & P!!!!

And thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments!

OMG- She did it for LOVE!

Can you believe my sweet little 8 year- old cut her hair sooooo short for "Locks of Love?" On Thursday she was still undecided until she got to "Ruby's" (our hairdresser) Ruby told her it would look "HIP" and a little long in the front still- so Savannah said "OK!"

So Ruby put it in a ponytail real tight to her scalp and cut! AGH! Vanna started to cry! She said it was way to short- but after alotta coxing from Ruby, she got a little more used to it. Today on the way home from church she said, "When my hair grows long, I want to cut it this short again." So needless to say, we ALL love it now! She even got some highlights put in! SO HIP!

Welcome Back to school

Well, for the last two years I was President of the PTA of my daughter's school and now I am Historian (AKA Scrapbooker). So I feel like this year I get to relax a little and watch things happen.

Every year I put together a big tub of school supplies, kleenex, baby wipes, hand sanitazer, etc... for my daughters teacher. I also like to enclose a pack of handmade note cards. Here is the one I made for Mrs. Sanchez (Who we are so excited to have :) ( I CASED it from Crafty C on SCS)

I do need all of your prayers and positive thoughts. There are two people in the class that I have had disagreements with (one being my sister) and another a friend and we are all in the same class- AAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!! So I am praying that the drama is minimal and we can just "ALL GET ALONG." Anyways, prayers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking, sharing, and praying!

Well- As usual I had a very busy weekend which just flew by. On Friday night I had my scrapbook class- Saturday I cleaned and went to Spaghetti factory (YUMMY!)- wish I would of taken pics of my baby- he was LOVIN some spaghetti :)

Sunday was a very special day- Our little girl- Savannah was baptized. She received the Lord during VBS and had started asking to be baptized about 6 months ago- so yesterday she did. We are so blessed to have two wonderful children- Even though my husband said my little guy needed an exorcism not a baptism- LOL! (He is a handful)- so needless to day not awhole lot of stamping going on this weekend. But here is a pic of a bookmark we will be making at my craft class this Saturday!

Stamp Something for Summer

Here is the second page that I made for last nights Scrap class- It was so fun and glad to have a new friend Cynthia and of course always love spending time with Pam, Lillian, and Leah (missed you Jennifer and Melissa- but I will finish up your pages.)

Before the stamp class we went over one of my BFF's ( HOLLY ) with another BFF (Donna) and she decided to show us how wonderfully talented she is! She can squirt water out of her mouth in one, skinny, straight, flow for a very long time. So you know how those people in Vegas and at amusement parks can make pretend that they are statues- well, I told her when I win the Lottery I am going to have a party and pay her a million dollars to be a live- human- water- fountain! We were cracking up so hard! Here she is practising. And of course, some bathing beauties!

It was using the Just B set from SU! With Garden green and Orchid Opulence. TFL! Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

The 13th was my mom's birthday and so (we) made her dinner- T-Bones and Potatos (BBQ'd by Steven), Zuchinni, Salad, and rolls (by me and the cake of course) and 75 candles (by Savannah :)

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful mom and dad. They are so awesome- I could not have asked for anyone better (they are not perfect by far- but compared to what is out there- I pick them!)

Love you mom- Happy Birthday!

Faux Ribbon

These are a couple of the pages that I will be making with my scrapbook gals this Friday. It is using the new set we got for (FREE) at convention- Inspired by nature. For the faux ribbon technique I took two strips of 12 x 12 paper at 1 1/2 " and wet them while folding them back and forth. I then laid them in the sun to dry. I put a strip of sticky tape across my paper and laid the ribbon across the paper while folding it back every so often. I like how it turned out- you could even rub a little creamy caramel along it to give it a even more worn look.

The leaves are stamped in versMark and the flowers are in craft white. TFL! Have a great Thursday- I will be busy today making 80 baby shower invites!
