Inspired by Nature

As you can see by the side bar I have lost a little over 15 lbs. So last night I wanted to make some fast and simple note cards for thank you's. I picked up the Inspired by nature stamp set and came up with this.

There are many reasons why I am getting healthy-

1-For Myself and my health

2- For my kids- I want to play and run and live more for them

3- To be an inspiration to others

4-To be looked at differently an taken more seriously

Anyways, enough of my soap-box, for the card I used taken with teal, Brilliant blue, and Glorious green. I stamped the flowers in the taken with teal and then with a finger sponge dauber I brushed the ends of the flower and another sponge for the green. The background paper in ballet blue. This is one of the cards that we are going to make for the open house tomorrow. Have a great weekend- I will!

Look what Debbie made

My friend Debbie went to a stamp camp with her demonstrator (AnnaMarie) and made this adorable little briefcase stationary kit.

She had to bring it over to share, and I had to take pic's so I can CASE it! I didn't take any pics for the inside but it has two little pockets inside to hold the cards and envelopes, and two little clear bags with ties to hold the tags and the little cards.

The briefcase is a 12 X 12 piece of paper cut in half and glued together. I will make one ad take pics- or maybe make a video ?????

Samantha's Sunday Share #3

My daughter is selling cookies- So that is the big news for this week!

We had the card swap on Sunday. Tuesday Stevie had boyscouts and Thursday Savannah had piano. Friday night my GF's Mel and Jen came over and we scrapped. Yesterday we went to the cookie rally and got all pumped up to SELL SELL SELL! Thursday I had to take Shawn to the doctors- He has the croop cough.

Pretty uneventful- Hopefully more stamping this week. Hope you had a great week also!

A card and a confession

Ok, so I have to confess that I don't own the "BIG SHOT." My GF Michelle came down from La Quinta one day and she let me use hers and it was so nice. I have the Cuttlebug and so I could not see spending the $99 for the "BIG SHOT."

So I can use a lot of the Big Shot dies with my Cuttlebug- it is just a lot harder. It's kinda like the "BIG SHOT" is a Mercedes and the Cuttlebug is like a old VW bug. ... it gets the job done but just not as nice and easy.

My friend Jen ordered "IT!" and tonight she brought it over so we could play. Well, I have to say I LOVE IT! Here is the card I made using the Top Note, Envelope, and bird dies from SU! and the Eastern Blooms Stamp set with Sage Shadow and Ruby Red. As you can see from my table- I have been hard at work at getting my scrapbooking organized. It's a lot of work but somebody's gotta do it!

Samantha's Sunday Share #2

Can I get a YAHOO! I lost 4 lbs this week and 5 last week. I am otta control. The first week I did http://www.sparkpeople.com/ and now I am doing weight watchers. I LOVE weight watchers ecause you CAN have ANYTHING you want- and I am using the computer with thier etools to keep track of everything I eat and all the points and it is pretty easy!

Monday- I subbed again at my most favorite school.

Tuesday I had to go to p/u the Fall fundraiser incentives for Girl Scouts and I forgot- but I just blamed it on the fact that I didn't think I could pick them up because the council messed up with our check and didn't post it to our account and so we couldn't pick up our cookie packets and the fall product incentives. Then I went to one of my very best BFF's- Judy Bailey and watched the first episode of Oprah's the Best Life episode. Then my BFF Jennifer came over and we stamped- yah!!!! I missed her so, and am soooooo glad she is back!

Wednesday I took Stevie to get two more cavities filled- he went into the room all by himself - he is sooooo tough!

Thursday my husband went to the dentist and I took my daughter to piano. The dentist is a big deal for us because we have the world's best dentist but he is not covered on my husbands insurance- so we have been looking for a LLLLOOOONNNGGGGG time for a good dentist- and that is hard to do. So we have found a better place- he will never replace our Dr. Foulston- but the joint is very clean and nice.

Friday- The kids came home from school and decided to water the trees. Well, the water turned into a flood, and the flood turned into mud, and the kids turned into a mess!

I had my "Love Shack" class and no one showed up. But I had it Saturday morning again and my BFF Melissa showed up- so It was so nice spending time with her all to myself. Then the greatest thing happened- THE BRAND NEW 2009 Spring/summer ideabook and catalog came in the mail! and the rest of the day was spent browsing thru it with my BFF Debbie!!!! HOpe you have a great week and get some time to stamp!

Hearts A Lot

Here is the card that Jen and I came up with for her card for her swap. I love all of the MANY different colored and shaped hearts. I am so a heart lover-

I usually dot all my I's with hearts.

This is my card again.... wasn't quite happy with it so I changed the ribbon and added some white dots. SU!'s white gel pen is the best gel pen I have ever used. It always write so nice and smooth. Order your today!

Love Birds- Love Swaps

Here is the card that I am making for our card swap on Sunday. We have 6 girls that are coming over and we will be making each others cards. These are the best days, when I can just hang-out with my girls and stamp (and they are C-R-E-A-T-I-V-E, so I am always sure to love my cards.

I am getting so excited!!! Stamp Challenge- but stamp nothing!

Ok - so the Stamp Something challenge was to make a card with NO stamping at all! So here is my card. I used all SU! supplies. Summer Picnic DSP, and the rub-ons. The button is not SU! but the ribbon is.

I do love the rub-ons- perfect for a "quick and fast" handmade cards.

A Day in the life of a mom! Shawn took everything out of the cabinets and climed inside- is he a QT or what?

Ok, so every Sunday Dawn does a Sunday Share so I thought what a great idea.... so I kinda borrowed it. I thought I would post what happened in my life the past week- then the rest of the week I could concentrate of STAMPING and SCRAPPING!

Last Friday we came back from riding quads in Ocotillo Wells- my nephew Eddie- was flying home to Sac where he lives with his dad. He told us the flight was at 3:30pm and we thought it was at 6:30pm. We rolled up in our driveway at 1:18pm, I check his flight and AAAGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! It leaves at 2:30pm- He Made it believe it or not!!!!!

My 14 year-old Nephew- Eddie

Saturday I started my LIFE STYLE CHANGE- NOT a DIET!

Tuesday I went to a Girl Scout Cookie Rally where there was as much GS cookies you could eat- I ate NONE!!! Can I get an ATTA GIRL!

Wednesday I did something else but I can't remember???? (That is why I had to start the Sunday share???

Thursday we had the Staying Sweet club- I love those girls!!!

Friday- I subbed at my most favorite school. One of my BFF's int eh whole world came over and we stamped!!

Saturday- First I went to my first Weight Watchers meeting- I lost 4 lbs!!! Then I watched Kristy's girls while my kids went Geocashing with her son for his b- day. Then we were off to Castle Park for Sister- troop day.
