Happy Birthday Mommy!

The 13th was my mom's birthday and so (we) made her dinner- T-Bones and Potatos (BBQ'd by Steven), Zuchinni, Salad, and rolls (by me and the cake of course) and 75 candles (by Savannah :)

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful mom and dad. They are so awesome- I could not have asked for anyone better (they are not perfect by far- but compared to what is out there- I pick them!)

Faux Ribbon

These are a couple of the pages that I will be making with my scrapbook gals this Friday. It is using the new set we got for (FREE) at convention- Inspired by nature. For the faux ribbon technique I took two strips of 12 x 12 paper at 1 1/2 " and wet them while folding them back and forth. I then laid them in the sun to dry. I put a strip of sticky tape across my paper and laid the ribbon across the paper while folding it back every so often. I like how it turned out- you could even rub a little creamy caramel along it to give it a even more worn look.

The leaves are stamped in versMark and the flowers are in craft white. TFL! Have a great Thursday- I will be busy today making 80 baby shower invites!

Rules:

Card Swap- Masculine birthday cards All that are in the masculine theme, birthday cards please send me your cards by August 30th. You will need to send 6 cards but make 7 and keep one for yourself.

All cards need to have at least two layers of c/s and at least one embellishment. They need to be 41/4 X 5.5 with no envelope or if you do another size please send 6 cordinating envelope. A Thanks and a bad case of spots!

Well- I am back from convention and I am trying to make a slideshow to share a lot of photos but,.... it's not working so.....

I have a huge thanks to you card being sent out to a very special SU! friend who made SU! Convention so much fun and chauffered us all around town (and made us spend way too much $$$$$)

I am back from convention and what a GREAT one it was!!!!! It is SU! 20th anniversary so they spoiled us rotten.
